MOLA STYLE COTTON EMBROIDERED PILLOW COVER – ORANGE

• Material :- 100% Cotton
• Size- 16 X 16 inches & 18 X 18 Inches.
• The throw pillow cover has zip closure. All inside seams are finished for no fraying.

Orange color pillow cover in cotton duck, embroidered in contrasting blue and pink colour. The pillow is accented with 3 colour pompoms on all 4 corners.

The patterns on the pillows are inspired by the molas which forms a part of traditional outfit of a Kuna woman from Panama. As an inspiration for their designs, the Kuna first used the geometrical patterns which have been used for body painting before. In the past 50 years, they also started to depict realistic and abstract designs of flowers, sea animals and birds.

I have taken the geometric patterns and used embroidery technique to create the mola inspired pillow covers.

The back is plain solid orange colour to match the front.

The throw pillow cover has zip closure. All inside seams are finished for no fraying.
